This bed was designed by the Furniture Forest for one of the local B&B rooms. It is made of white oak and has lacquer finish. The design includes using mortis and tennon joints for joining the side rails to the corner posts. Hanger bolts are used to secure the tennons to the posts, the bolt holes are covered by medalions. The chest at the foot of the bed is also white oak with a lacquer finish and features floating panels on the front and sides, locking miter joints, an aromatic cedar bottom and sliding tray, hinges that will hold the lid open, and a key lock. |
